Anna University counselling will not begin tomorrow and very soon announce reschedule date

Summary: SC revises counselling schedule for engineering admissions
The Supreme Court on Thursday revised the counselling schedule for engineering admissions in the country for the academic year 2014-15. As a result the first round of counselling for engineering admissions announced by the Anna University in Tamil Nadu, earlier scheduled to begin on Friday, would be postponed.

In its order a vacation Bench of Justices Vikramajit Sen and Shiva Kirti Singh directed the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to complete the process of approvals of 521 engineering colleges within one week from Thursday.

The first round of counselling which was to be completed by June 30 would now have to be completed by July 15; second round of counselling by July 22 and the third counselling by July 29.

The Bench passed this order on an application from the AICTE seeking extension of the Schedule laid down by the apex Court in Parshvanath Charitable Trust and others vs. AICTE.

Andhra Pardesh CM announces 1 lakh ex-gratia payments to heatwave dead people's family.

In AP The Heat waves are very in peak stage in now a days.because of heat waves 69 People are dead in Andhra Pardesh,CM N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to  Rs 1 lakh ex-gratia to family members of victims, it was officially announced here today.

Officials informed him that the heatwave claimed as many as 169 lives so far, in different districts with a maximum 45 deaths reported from Vizianagaram district, followed by East Godavari (27) and Krishna district (22).

The Andhra Pradesh state government has opened a separate deposit account under CM Relief Fund to enable people to contribute money for developing a new capital city and issued orders to this effect on Friday.

The deposit shall come into force with effect from June 8. The deposit shall be operated as Personal Deposit Account and the secretary to government/principal secretary (revenue)  will be the administrator of the PD Account.

The donations made to the fund shall be credited to this Personal Deposit Account and formal receipts to the donors shall be issued on behalf of  the government by the secretary to government/principal secretary (revenue) or his nominee.

The donations thus received shall be utilised for construction and development of a new capital city for Andhra Pradesh. The accounts of the deposit shall figure in the deposit section under K _ Deposits and Advances, (b) Deposits. The accounts are: 8443 - Civil Deposits, MH 800 - Other Deposits, SH(02)  - CM’s Relief Fund, 001 - Calamities Relief and other Philanthropy and 002 - Andhra Pradesh State New Capital Development.

These are included in the Public Account (Volume-IV of the Budget Document).
